‘You Get What You Give’, 1999
Garnering most of its attention from its celebrity-baiting outro, ‘You Get What You Give’ was a UK Top 5 hit for retroactive funk/soul/rock group New Radicals – a collective that revolved around the only bona fide member, Gregg Alexander. After releasing the New Radicals’ album, Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed Too (1998), Alexander disbanded the group to concentrate more on production work.
