Songwriter Kevin Moore spent the 1970s and 1980s in his native Los Angeles, playing studio sessions and in mainstream funk and blues bands. Committing himself to blues, he travelled to the Mississippi Delta to study with the late guitarist Eugene Powell. Moore then combined blues with pop hooks and instrumental sweetening, and has released eight easy-listening, semi-acoustic albums, including his eponymous 1994 debut and the 1996 Best Contemporary Blues Grammy-winner Just Like You.
